Armen Agop sculpts the space as if he were holding the void and solidifying the place at once; just as if the space around it, and not the dimensions of the stone, was the real body of sculpture. (by Ahmed Fouad Selim)Artist profile
For Dethier, nature has always been a main source of inspiration. In her countryside studio, she creates new and surprising forms while keeping a strong spiritual and artistic bond with nature. A brushwood, a shell or a piece of wood; any can become subject to inspiration or interpretation. She does not try to dominate matter, but rather evolves with it towards the final artwork. When in doubt, she would rather trust nature to have its say.Artist profile
